Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither it be afraid. John 14:27 | KJV

My Health Journey
For as long as I can remember, I've struggled with stomach issues. Hindsight would suggest most of this was due to my lack of self-confidence and quiet nature. And the more the stress-related products help, the more I'm convinced the struggle is farther north than my stomach. I worry and stress a lot over things that are outside of my control and that turns into letting it affect what I can control, my reaction.
I remember the first major episode with my stomach. I was at work, at that time a teller working the drive-thru, and next thing I know, I'm leaning over in severe pain. Thankfully, my brother came through the drive-thru and I was able to ask him to have someone meet me at the hospital. Once there, I underwent several test trying to determine what was causing the pain. I learned that day, medical treatment is ultimately the process of elimination, and all reports came back normal. This prompted my referral to see a gastroenterologist and he ordered another test, my first colonoscopy, and all before I was 25. The night before was by far the worst part of that procedure but thankfully, another good report. I was blind to it at the time, but I was missing that peace of God and not being in His word, as I should have been, true peace can not be found. I'm not one that likes medicine so I made a decision to continue on without it but did take a prescription those moments when my stomach was at its worst.
More time passed, similar symptoms, and then another colonoscopy was ordered. I had the same experience as my first colonoscopy, with the night before being the worst part, and thanks be to God, another clean report. This was when I made a decision to accept that I had a sensitive stomach and just needed to monitor my diet and be prepared for when the flareups did occur. Had I gave more praise to the good Lord, prayed, and trusted in Him, I fully believe my symptoms would have been more managed or even healed, had it been His will, long before now.
doTERRA Meet-Cute
I've been on a rollercoaster of changes most of my life, even recently, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that everything in life and on earth does constantly change. That being said, 2019 was no different, those challenges imposed a lot stomach struggles. My husband has always been my biggest supporter and the limitations my health concerns can implement to my daily life was no different. He's in a BNI chapter with Sue Blalock, a doTERRA Platinum Wellness Advocate, and this was where he learned more about the benefits of natural healthcare.
The more he heard about all the options doTERRA had to offer, the more he told me about it and how I "need to go see Sue". I put it off for a while, because something new is also something I usually avoid, but then finally I set a date to go meet with her. This was a day my life changed and I fully believe God, the one who created the earth that doTERRA uses to make essential oils and supplements, brought this into my life as a way to naturally manage stress which will subsequently also improve my stomach issues. I was even late the day I went to see her because my stomach started to hurt right before leaving... remember, something different or new is not easy for me. When I arrived, with my husband being the supporter he is, I met one of the most sweetest and most genuine ladies I know. She educated us and took note of our personal aliments to better understand which products would help us most. Upon leaving, I saw a verse on her wall and it gave me even more clarity; and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine | Ezekiel 47:12 Praise God!
The rest is history, with Sue's full support, we started incorporating the oils and supplements daily and noticed differences almost immediately. Once we saw just how much of blessing it was to have and the improvements in our health, mentally and physically, it was clear we were taking steps to better health. Also, the peace of mind we gained knowing it is safe and natural to use and not only for ourselves, but for when our children have aliments. As a parent, this alone was huge, and to have that as an option in our medicine cabinet instead of others where we don't really know what's in it, not to mention the side effects. However, I do want to clarify, we're not against medicine or doctors and understand there's a time when those are necessary but most times being proactive with a healthier lifestyle and natural solutions, may reduce the need to visit a doctor in the future. deDEUS is Born
We never started using doTERRA with a notion of it being more than our natural medicine cabinet but once we saw the blessings in our life and health improvements from using it, we wanted to share the same blessing. Once you've been blessed, you want to be a blessing. We strive to put God first in our lives in all we do and this was no different. That's why when we started to think of a name it had to put God first and be our main focus. doTERRA is a Latin derivative meaning "Gift of the Earth" so we wanted to take that a step further, and that's when deDEUS was put on our hearts, a latin derivative meaning "from God", because it is. He is the creator of the heavens and the earth, you and me, and while we thank doTERRA for developing product with focus of purity and extracting from it's original habitants, we ultimately thank God and give Him praises the source was created to begin with and beholds benefits to help us, mind, body, and soul.
For this, the main principle you'll see on our site is "Pray, Prepare, and Persist"; built on Luke 9:23 | KJV that says "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me". This is what we try to live by daily and it applies in every aspect of life, our decisions, but most importantly, to being obedient to God's calling. I will elaborate more on this principle in the blogs to come but will end with this, together, let's strive to take up our cross daily and follow Jesus. He is our reason for being.
God bless!
Disclosure: This deDEUS Website and Blog is my personal beliefs, profession of faith, and decision to utilize, when applicable, a natural healthcare option. I'm in no way claiming that essential oils I use are for everyone and/or are the best method of use for everyone. Best practice is to consult your Doctor and/or Physician before using any essential oil or other alternatives of healthcare. This is a decision I made for myself, and my family, and each person must make their own decision and what is best for themselves and their family. My hope is to share, most importantly, God's word and eternal salvation which is only obtain able through Jesus Christ, but also, how after much research and due diligence, I decided to use doTERRA essential oils, when applicable, and how they've helped me and my family. I still believe there's a time and place for doctors, having the education and experience to diagnosis medical needs, but taking steps in hopes to minimize, Lord willing, the need to visit a doctor and making healthier options trying to improve and protect our bodies and lives God has blessed my family and I with. I give all Praise and Glory to God for my ability to share His word on this platform, for my salvation, our health and all that includes, benefits from our natural solution experiences, and even the help we get when a visit to the doctor is necessary for medical needs.
